Resident Says Diamond Ring Stolen During Hospital Procedure

A Lance Drive resident reported to authorities Wednesday that her diamond ring had been stolen earlier in the month while she was undergoing a procedure at a Nashville hospital.

The victim reported that she had undergone the procedure at Saint Thomas Hospital on August 2. She told deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that she had the ring on her finger when she went into the operating room, but that it was not there when she got home that evening.

The victim said that she had already notified hospital officials, but that they had been unable to locate the ring. Although the incident occurred in Davidson County, hospital officials recommended that she filed a police report locally, to document the matter.

The ring had an estimated valued of $5,000.
